We are seeking dependable Tractor and Equipment Operators to execute safe, efficient snow and ice removal across residential and commercial properties throughout the winter season.

This role is ideal for an experienced operator who thrives when working independently, stays calm and focused during unpredictable storm shifts, and takes personal pride in doing the job right the first time. Operating in the middle of a blizzard requires a steady mindset, sharp spatial awareness, and a commitment to high standards.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Operate tractors with snow-blowing or plowing attachments to clear designated driveways, roadways, and parking lots.
• Perform routine pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, maintaining proper fluid levels and mechanical functionality.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs in the field, such as changing shear pins and tightening hydraulic lines.
• Complete required daily activity logs, timesheets, and vehicle inspection reports using software applications.
• Follow all company safety procedures, maintaining three points of contact and full situational awareness.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience operating tractors or similar heavy equipment (snow removal experience highly preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude for routine equipment maintenance and minor field repairs.
• Ability to work flexible, irregular hours including overnights, weekends, and holidays during storm events.
• Physical stamina to sit for extended periods and perform manual labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract, and reliable transportation to site depots in our service areas.

Schedule

• Seasonal, temporary, on-call, weather-dependent position (typically November through April).
• 24/7 on-call availability required during winter weather events.
• Shifts vary based on weather, frequently running overnight to afternoon (2:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.).
• Service Area: Collingwood.
